In 2013 the Ecuadorian government decided to give the green light to oil-drilling operations in the Yasuní National Park, in the Amazon region, home of an isolated ethnic group known as the Taromenane. The President of Ecuador has stated that oil activities will only affect 1/1000 % of the National Park. The Taromenane account for 1/1000 % of Ecuador's population. Oil production in Yasuní places a serious threat to their survival. How much oil is worth the extinction of a culture, of a people? This series portrays 1000 individuals who oppose oil drilling in Yasuní.
