Manuel Piña graduated from the Technical University in Vladimir, Russia in 1983 as a mechanical engineer. Since 1987, he has shown his photographic work in Cuba, the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Europe, and won awards in several exhibitions. Pina has held artist residency fellowships in Vancouver, Maine, and Buffalo, NY. He lives and works in Havana.
