This Cuban engraver begins his formal studies of art at the age of twelve. He studies engraving at the School of Fine Arts in Havana. He wins an award at the X biennial of engraving in San Juan, Puerto Rico and receives an artists in residence at the alla Grafikkan Paja, Jyväskylä (Finland), École Cantonale du Art du Valais, Sierre (Switzerland), Brandwine Graphics Workshop, Philadelphia (USA), and the Graphic Studio of Tampa, Florida (USA).
